Quick Access

Overview

With Quick Access, you can run common actions instantly without opening the app and hunting for what you need. Because you can quickly reach things like creating a new note or launching the AI agent, you can move straight to capturing and organizing — without missing the moment an idea strikes.

On iPhone and iPad, long-press the app icon on the Home Screen to display the Quick Access menu.

On Mac, right-click (or Control-click) the app icon in the Dock to display the same menu. You can run the action you want simply by selecting an item from the menu, even when the app isn't running.

What you can do

From the Quick Access menu, you can choose actions such as the following.

New Note: Open a new note right away and start typing.

New Note by Voice: Create a new note directly from what you say. Handy when your hands are full or when you're out and about.

Launch AI Agent: Start a chat with the AI agent without opening the app.

Launch AI Agent by Voice: Just speak what you want to ask, and the AI agent will find the relevant note and take care of it. For example, say "Add milk to my shopping list" — there's no need to open the right note yourself.

Open a favorite note: Open a specified favorite note directly.

Open a notebook: Open a specified notebook directly.

You can customize which of these items appear in the menu from Settings > Quick Access. For the items that open a favorite note or a notebook, you can also choose the target note or notebook.

Note that voice actions and launching the AI agent are Pro features.
