Installing FirstSeed Notes automatically installs the share extension. This allows you to tap or click the "Share" button in apps like Apple Notes and Safari to see "FirstSeed Notes", enabling you to create notes from URLs, images, and more.
Creating a note from a URL retrieves the site's title, image, and description, which are added to the note.
If "FirstSeed Notes" does not appear in the share menu, add the app from the "..." button or "Edit" menu. On Mac, open "System Settings" and go to Privacy & Security > Extensions > Added Extensions and select "FirstSeed Notes".
On Mac, you can use the macOS Services menu to send selected text to FirstSeed Notes. After installing FirstSeed Notes, the "Send to FirstSeed Notes" service becomes available.
Select some text in any app, right-click, and choose Services > "Send to FirstSeed Notes" — the new note screen opens, with the selected text filled in as the note title and body.
If the menu item is not visible, open System Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Services, and make sure that "Send to FirstSeed Notes" is checked in the "Text" section.
